Use some Dove soap and wash off that rubbish

My opinion about Michael Jeffries' view on who should wear Abercrombie and Fitch is a marketing strategy to get more publicity. How else do people get attention than by saying a hateful comment. Abercrombie and Fitch did get their publicity and not in a good way. I disapprove of what Michael had said for it had started a big argument against society and Abercrombie and Fitch. I personally think that those who are not bone skinny are more beautiful since they do have more curves. I still think that this was a marketing strategy, which gave more people who were an extra size a reason to buy Abercrombie and Fitch.

Personally, I think that targeting a particular group of teenagers is fair. I don't think it is fair when they make negative comments of the ones they aren't targeting. An example would be a skate shop would particularly target those who take an interest in skateboarding. There are also sport shops for those who enjoy playing sports. What Abercrombie did was unacceptable, they targeted a group of teens but they had to insult those that they weren't targeting. That is what isn't fair, To judge people out loud, everyone has their opinions, so i advice that you keep it to yourself.

In society as of now, we are trying to show everyone that natural beauty is the best. The following video is a dove commercial. Dove is doing a wonderful job in promoting natural beauty to women. In this video, women are to describe what they think they look like to a drawer who will draw what they hear. Next is someone who has seen the girl and will describe how they saw her. It shows that we all think less of ourselves than how other people see us. 

Abercrombie and Fitch has just made even more people insecure and has resulted in a rising of those trying to stand up for those that don't have the voices to do so themselves. Abercrombie has contributed another point/image that people have to become and that is what beauty is. 

Tweet a little prayer

In this generation, teenagers lives all revolve around social media. At least every teenager that has access to technology is signed up to one of the many sites of social media. Some of these top sites include Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. I do think that having twitter accounts will help attract youth to take a greater role in the life of the church. I think this because of the easy accessibility twitter has to teenagers. Since it is something that teenagers are constantly on it, they would easily be updated about the news or proclamations of the church. Teenagers don't take their time to search up the church, we use it to go on social media. So the Pope having his own twitter account, is very helpful to attract youth to take a greater role in the life of the Church.

The benefits of having a Church leader tweet is that he has a big impact and role in the life of the Church. This adds to being able to have the perspective and voice of someone that is very inspiring and a leader on this Earth. We are also be able to connect and reply to what the Pope tweets. The disadvantages would be the negative feedback that the Pope will recieve. There are many people who are not on the same side as the Pope, many celebrities who have received negative feedback have reacted badly. The amount of people on twitter also means the thousand of comments the Pope will receive and that can be a little overwhelming.

As of right now, since of my recent moving of locations. I am not truly aware if my parish does take part in the social media world.  This is not certain but i haven't received any information, so I will take the guess that my parish doesn't take part in the social media world.

The Church can encourage having more church events specifically to the youth. Another way to get more involved in youth to be involved is by letting more teenagers serve for mass. In personal experience, mostly only children serve as altar-servers and hardly teenagers. A personal experience would also be joining in the youth group, where you get to attend a camping experience and represent your parish and there are also talks. It is very fun and I learned lots during that experience.

The Internet is my life. I'm on it every single day checking "what others are thinking, what they like and what's happening in life. I am a member of many social networking sites. It all started in about Grade three where I signed up for club penguin. It started from there and changed year after year depending on my age. I jumped from gaia, to facebook, twitter, tumblr and than instagram. I'm on so many social networking websites that i later forget all about the old sites.I don't regret much on joining these sites but there are a few doubts.

My privacy settings had been checked and ready to secure. I hardly go on facebook now a days, i only go on for my youth groups events or for group messaging. I only show the month and date for my birthday and limit my pictures to only my friends. I also accept friends that I personally know and not just add random people. I am also aware of what i post and write on my social networking sites. I am internet safe.

The safe things to post is your favorite colour, or your pet face. It will also be reasonable to have a profile pic with a group of people instead of just yourself alone. It is never ever acceptable to put out your age, where you live, or where you are. Also don't put private information like your credit card number. Keep those personal information to yourself and only to yourself. A
nyone can 'stalk' you  using the information that you put online. Also to keep the photos to a minimum because they can use that against you.
It is important to be safe because you would never want to be in harm or have someone to stalk you or steal your identity

Just like the movie identity thief where a woman steals the credit card number and information just because of a simple phone call. The victim goes through so much trouble just to get his identity back. The woman stealing his identity has prevented the man to go to work, and do his basic routines.

So remember kids and all .... BE INTERNET SAFE!

I think that Khadijah's comments about her teacher were not commented as an insult. But because of the context behind this comment is what makes is inappropriate. In general we shouldn't judge a person, there might be a big back story for all the things that happened to the teacher and why they are like this. There is always a good reason for someones actions. Her comment can be put under bullying. It had affected the teacher in a bad way.

I think the suspension of these students were reasonable and they deserved this punishment because they were bullying a human being and bullying awareness is known throughout the world. Their suspension has given justice to those teachers that had been affected by this cyber-bullying. If the board didn't act the way that they did than other students would have thought that it would be okay to just make fun of their teachers online because they weren't going to get in trouble for it.

I feel the reaction of the students were also reasonable. They didn't expect to be found since us teens would think that adults wouldn't go on such sites and actually view them.  I think they should be able to express their opinions freely but they must be considerate of others and should say their opinions in a respectful manner. We shouldn't post this sort of thing on social media websites like Twitter. We shouldn't post anything that will harm any persons well being emotionally or physically.  If the students found someone "sub-tweeting" (a term we use about a person tweeting about a person without actually stating the identity.) about them then they would either be hurt by the rude things tweeted about them, just like how they affected their teachers.

So Remember Kids ...... Don't Tweet it, If it will hurt you!

Paparazzi popping bubbles

 

Do you agree or disagree with the way celebrities are treated by the paparazzi?

Currently, paparazzi has been invading celebrities lives to the point of complete annoyance. Not only does it ruin their reputation but their comfort of going outside. The celebrities can become paranoid being inside the public eye because you never know when paparazzi will be coming out of nowhere popping your personal bubble. I also disagree with paparazzi's actions because of their actions of chasing a car that led to death.

How far is too far? 

  
Paparazzi should know when its too far when it involves nudity or just ruins the celebrities career. A career where the celebrity has worked hard for to get that far to have that many paparazzi. It is also too far when the celebrity says to stop. Celebrities have the right to be able to have privacy. invading that privacy is just cruel.

Why would the paparazzi use media networks to their advantage to post personal news about famous individuals?  Is this right? 

The paparazzi will use a media network to their advantage because it is somewhere that can done quickly and can spread he news fast. There is atleast 100 people on the computer each second and can see the personal news about famous individuals in a flash. Media network is also something that can be on-the-go, it can be used on a smart phone and basically used everywhere with a connection. I think it is okay to use a media network for their appropriate photographs but not personal new about famous individuals. Anything not hurting someones privacy is okay to use media network to spread their news.

Research an appropriate paparazzi scandal that has occurred within the past few years.  Do you agree or disagree with the way the celebrity was treated?  Why or why not? 

Princess Kate photo scandal is when Prince William and Princess Kate went on vacation in France where scandalous topless pictures of  Princess Kate where taken.

 I disagree with the way the royal was treated.  She was on vacation after all which mean a break from all the royal work. They were also hidden and in a private location which didn't give the right for paparazzi to take pictures of them either. Their objections from the photographers stating that Princess Kate should know not to let her gaurd down after her prestigious wedding. The thing about this is that she was clueless to the fact that her vacation in a closed area would secure privacy. It will be paranoid to think that everything you do like going in a washroom will be documented on to a tape. I disagree with the way Princess Kate was treated.
